Five years ago, James Keys was constantly working 12-hour days on the road and didn’t focus<br />

on what or when he ate. He relied on high-sugar energy drinks and sodas to get through long<br />

shifts, and regularly ate pizza and fried foods for convenience. After struggling with his weight<br />

and trying various diets without success, James’ wife, Lisa, brought home an AdvoCare 24-Day<br />

Challenge®. After 24 days, she felt and looked better. That was enough for James to decide he<br />

needed to make a change.<br />

He got on the Challenge in October of 2012 and began changing many of his unhealthy habits.<br />

Instead of high-sugar energy drinks, James added Spark® to his daily routine. The couple stopped<br />

eating fried foods and focused on making healthier meals at home rather than going out to eat.<br />

“The 24-Day Challenge taught us we need to eat enough healthy food,” he explains. “Eating five<br />

to six times a day was something we never really did before the Challenge. Following the Daily<br />

Although he didn’t have a set number of pounds to lose, James made a goal to feel better and be<br />

able to run with his grandsons, who are 14 and nine years old. By staying consistent and motivated<br />

for the next year and a half, James lost 35 pounds and began to build up the endurance he lost<br />

over the years. Since then, he has become an avid runner who walks or runs four to six miles<br />

every morning and has started lifting weights to build muscle. He incorporated Muscle Gain and<br />

Arginine Extreme to help him train for a four-day, 328-mile bike race he completed last summer.<br />

James says, “The products fuel my motivation and give me endurance for that extra push I need.”<br />

Above all, James explains his proudest moments are when he plays basketball or runs sprints<br />

with his grandsons.<br />

“I have more quality time with my family because I’m not as tired,” he says. “Before, I would go to<br />

the movie theater and always fall asleep.”<br />
