What started as a way to live a healthier lifestyle and earn additional
income for Rodell Razor turned into a chance to meet new people and
eventually, meet his future wife. Rodell first heard about AdvoCare in
January of 2014 in Oregon, and tried the products to help support his
workouts. After changing his lifestyle and focusing on eating better, he
successfully lost inches in his waist and continued using products.
Nine months later, he was planning on moving to Phoenix to be closer
to his son. But after his job transfer fell through, Rodell wasn’t sure what
to do next. He attended an AdvoNation® event and saw AdvoCare as a
business opportunity that he could work on in Arizona.
Once in Phoenix, the dedicated father began selling AdvoCare products
and building an AdvoCare team while also working as a used car
salesman, a substitute teacher and a personal trainer to provide for his
newborn son.
“I woke up early and stayed up late to talk to people about AdvoCare
every day and often sampled Spark®,” he explains.
That’s how he met Brittany in May of 2015. He shared a Spark with her
while they were on a mission trip. As a single mom raising her four-yearold
son, she was looking for more energy and a way to lose unwanted
weight so she started her first 24-Day Challenge® and changed her
lifestyle.
While Brittany started her own AdvoCare team, she and Rodell began
dating after attending their first National Success School. She focused
on selling products and sharing her story with a goal to earn additional
income so she could spend more time with her son and less time at the
office, where she worked full time as an office manager.
“I made a very strict schedule. I wrote down when I was working and
when I was spending quality time with my son. I worked my AdvoCare
business on my way to work, during breaks and when my son went to
bed,” Brittany says.
Eleven months later, Rodell and Brittany were married. Brittany left her
full-time job to work on her AdvoCare business full time. Now the Razors
support their team together, working a combined total of 20 hours each
week. Brittany hosts calls and coaches on products while Rodell leads
a weekly Mixer and makes calls during his commute to and from his fulltime
job as a sales director at a marketing company.
No matter how busy the newly blended family is, they make time for each
other and give back to the community by volunteering and mentoring
others.
