Artichoke, I know this, as I was cheeky enough
to steal a taste!
Choosing our main meal was a slightly
tougher decision!
I opted for a more delicate dish, (after being a
bit too greedy with the Soughdough – I never
learn!) and chose the ‘Hand Rolled Farfalle
Pasta with Mussels, Cuttlefish, Garlic, Tomato
and Parsley’.
we turned to our extremely sweet and helpful
French waitress Madeleine for advice.
She suggested the fish favourite for the
evening, which was ‘Steamed Tranche of Wild
Brill served with Creamed Potato, Braised
Leek Clam, Red Wine and Butter Sauce.’
This was a very good shout, so my ever-willing
partner snapped this dish right up.
I didn’t even get a bite of this one, so he must
have enjoyed it!
Not only did this taste incredible, it could have
joined the artwork on Brendan’s wall!
The pasta was black in colour, delicate and
came with a side of sauce, allowing me to top
up the bowl at my leisure.
Vegetarians aren’t overlooked at the Pig,
there’s a separate vegetarian menu and as the
earth’s offerings change with the seasons, the
very best local produce is reinvented by the
head chef.
I have to commend Brendan, Amy (manager)
