MMoCA Art & Gift Fair 2017 program

Welcome to the MMoCA Art & Gift Fair, a
fundraiser for the Madison Museum of
Contemporary Art. Enjoy shopping, fun moments
and inspiration. With some 70 juried artists with
splendid works of art; Gourmet Gallery vendors
with sweet and savory treats; specialty vendors
offering scented candles, body products and
restaurant gift cards; as well as live music and
dance performances, we’re sure this event will
be a favorite tradition for years to come.
As you stroll through MMoCA and the Overture
Center for the Arts, stop and take a special
holiday selfie in the State Street Gallery. You’ll
find the Silent Auction in the Overture Board
Room on the lower level. And bid on works from
artists exhibiting at the fair. Also on the lower
level, in the popular Rediscovered Treasures &
Art Sale, find a treasure-trove of donated art,
jewelry, small antiques, decorative art, books,
and other “pre-loved” items.
We wish to thank jurors Brigitte Boucher, an
artist and copywriter for the artfulhome.com;
Kay Rashka, a scientist by day and a silversmith
and jewelry art metals instructor by night; and
Madison-based oil painter Ann Rutecki.
We owe a great debt of gratitude to MMoCA
Volunteers Board members and President,
Amy Paulios; Silent Auction Chair, Tami Dodge;
Reception Chair, Valerie Kazamias; and our
faithful team of Rediscovered Treasures & Art
Sale volunteers, including Chairs Nancy Doll

The success of 2017 MMoCA Art & Gift Fair can

SPECIAL FEATURES
MMoCA welcomes the Wisconsin Chamber
Orchestra to the MMoCA Art & Gift Fair on
Saturday, November 18. Children and families will
enjoy creating artful musical instruments from 10
am–12 pm, and listening to Wisconsin Chamber
Orchestra musicians perform on the Rotunda
Stage from 11:30 am–12 pm.
Watch for Madison Ballet's delightful Nutcracker
characters roaming the halls, or pose for a photo
just inside the Henry Street doors on Saturday
from 10:30–11:30 am.
Also, you’ll notice lots of fun activity taking place
outside on Saturday, November 18 from 2–8 pm.
That’s Shine on Madison, a day-long celebration
of winter, the holidays, and all that downtown
Madison has to offer, organized by Madison's
Central Business Improvement District. Be sure to
watch for the holiday lights to turn on at 6:08pm!
