BUSINESS A business degree from Marymount Manhattan College will teach you to lead as well as collaborate, to analyze and communicate, and to think globally, behave ethically, and apply theoretical concepts to solve real world problems. The epicenter of global business, New York City is the perfect place to study business. Many of our students take internships at media giants like Bloomberg and Condé Nast, international financial and consulting firms, legendary advertising agencies like McCann Erickson, and design houses like Versace and Armani. Business students at Marymount Manhattan College gain a competitive advantage by earning a Bachelor of Science in one of five majors, or by choosing the innovative Bachelor of Arts in business with a specialty concentration. The BS majors include entrepreneurship, finance, international business, marketing and management. BA in business concentrations include leadership, social entrepreneurship, media and arts management, economics, fashion marketing, and advertising and promotion. Bachelor of Arts in Business Our BA in business is a one-of-a-kind program designed for students who want to combine art, design, performance, fashion, or social good with business savvy. We offer a highly customizable business education with six concentrations that prepare students for strong careers, ranging from theatre and nonprofit administration to marketing management and fashion. ▶ ▶ LEADERSHIP Learn to think critically about business and industry’s responsibility to employees, customers, communities, and the environment. Internships and experiential learning will equip you to assume a management-track role in a business, nonprofit, NGO, or social service agency. ▶▶ SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP Engage in a hands-on program that puts technological, creative, and financial resources at your disposal to successfully start your own social enterprise. Whether your goal is an MBA, a job in venture capital, managing a community organization, or becoming a serial entrepreneur, you’ll develop the skills and experience to do good and do well. ▶▶ MEDIA AND ARTS MANAGEMENT Leverage your passion for the performing arts or new media into a sustainable career in the arts. Under New York City’s bright lights, you’ll have rich, inspiring learning experiences. Take in performances, meet with company directors, and complete challenging internships at organizations both on and off Broadway. ▶▶ ECONOMICS Our globally-focused economics concentration is ideal for students interested in learning how companies and nations make economic decisions that affect consumers and citizens. Our graduates pursue doctoral degrees, work in global industries, and serve international nonprofits. ▶▶ FASHION MARKETING Study the fashion industry in its native environment. Between classes, you’ll attend runway shows, meet up and coming designers, and intern with brands like Michael Kors and Versace. We’ll help you get your start in the fashion capital of the world. ▶ ▶ ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION Our program prepares you for a career as an influencer of consumer communication and behavior. You’ll interact with successful alumni and meaningful internships at brands like Madison Square Garden, Macy’s, and Christie’s Auction House. ▶ ▶ “My dual BA degree coupled with a minor in Asian studies led me to an internship in the Chinese Works of Art department at Christie’s auction house, and a semester studying in China supported by the Eisner Scholarship.
