had talent which he never used
or wished to use for commercial
purposes. I discussed with him
the lethargy of technical people
to entertain new ideas and asked
him to produce a “symbol” with
the slogan DON’T JUST STAND
THERE - DO SOMETHING. The
brochure was produced without
the drawing and six months later
the above image was given to me.
I always intended to display the
drawing but in the present day,
political correct world, my younger
advisors claimed “you can’t use
the slogan with that image”. So on
the front cover you have only the
drawing.

Sophie Irving recently achieved a
BA hon degree. She also has talent
but lacks the opportunity to exploit
her drawing skills. At present she
has wandered off into catering
management which she also likes.
Hopefully she will
find a use for her
artistic talent in this
career path.
