APAS - die Agentur für Presse- und Automobilservice mit
Stammsitz in Wolfsburg (D) ist eine der führenden Agenturen
für Mobilitätsdienstleistungen in Deutschland. Neben
Event-Shuttle Services und Fahrzeug-Präsentationen punktet
das Unternehmen auch mit intelligenten Smart Mobility Services.
Seit Februar 2017 ist APAS mit einem eigenen Ableger
auch in Salzburg aktiv. ECO-WE LOVE SALZBURG im Interview
mit APAS-Geschäftsführer Roland Heger.
With its headquarters in Wolfsburg, Germany, APAS – the
Agency for Press and Automotive Services – is one of the leading
agencies for transport services in Germany. In addition to
event shuttle services and car displays, the company also boasts
intelligent ‘smart mobility’ services. Since February 2017, APAS
has also been active with its own branch in Salzburg. ECO-WE
LOVE SALZBURG interviewed Roland Heger, the managing director
of APAS.
Herr Heger, Sie sind mit Ihrem Tochterunternehmen APAS
Event Shuttle GmbH nun auch in Salzburg aktiv. Warum haben
Sie in Salzburg gegründet?
Mr Heger, you are now also active in Salzburg with your subsidiary
APAS Event Shuttle GmbH. Why did you decide to start
up in Salzburg?
„
Roland Heger: Weil ein deutsches Unternehmen in
Österreich keine Mobilitätsdienstleistungen durchführen darf,
haben wir uns entschlossen, hier
eine Tochterfirma zu gründen. Aus
Deutschland kommend sind wir somit
nun überhaupt die ersten mit
einer Mietwagenkonzession für Österreich.
Erstaunlich: diese Rechtssicherheit
ist für uns ein Wettbewerbsvorteil
und für unsere Kunden
ein absoluter Mehrwert, denn in der
Praxis befördern immer noch ausländische
Mobilitätsanbieter Personen in
Salzburg – was rechtlich höchst problematisch
ist. Wir gründeten in Salzburg, weil die Flexibilität und
Hilfsbereitschaft hier viel größer war als an anderen Standorten
in Österreich. Die Standort Agentur Salzburg stand uns in der
Gründungsphase effektiv und kompetent zur Seite.
Roland Heger: We decided to set up a subsidiary here
because German companies aren’t allowed to provide transport
services in Austria. This move
makes us the first German
company to offer a rental car
concession in Austria. It’s
quite amazing really – this legal
certainty is a competitive
advantage for us, but it’s also
a real bonus for our customers,
because in practice there
are some foreign providers
transporting people around
in Salzburg and this is a legal
minefield. We chose to set up in Salzburg because the flexibility and
willingness to help was much higher here than at other locations in
Austria. The Standort Agentur Salzburg was at our side throughout
the start-up phase, and they were both effective and competent.
Können Sie uns Ihr Leistungsportfolio skizzieren?
Can you sketch out your service portfolio for us?
„
RH: APAS ist v.a. in den Bereichen Event-Shuttle
Service, Fahrzeug-Überführungen für große Automobilhersteller,
Fahrzeugpräsentationen und vermehrt auch im Bereich
Smart Mobility tätig. Im letztgenannten Bereich sind spannende
Geschäftsfelder im Aufbau. So stellen wir zB. die Testfahrer für
autonomes Fahren oder Fahrer für neue Mobilitätskonzepte wie
das „Ride Pooling“ – eine Art automatisierter Shuttle-Service,
der wie eine Buslinie funktioniert, allerdings viel flexibler ist und
ohne feste Strecke oder Haltestellen funktioniert. APAS ist übrigens
weltweit aktiv und an rund 250 Events jährlich beteiligt. Bis
Mitte Januar 2018 sind wir zB. als Mobilitätsdienstleister auf der
„German Design Ausstellung“ in Doha (Katar) präsent.
RH: Mostly, APAS works in the areas of event shuttle
service, vehicle transfers for large car manufacturers, car displays
and increasingly also in the field of ‘smart mobility’. In this last
area, there are some exciting business opportunities developing.
For example, we provide test drivers for autonomous driving vehicles,
or drivers for new transport concepts such as ‘ride-pooling’.
Ride-pooling is a kind of automated shuttle service, which functions
like a bus line but is more flexible and works without any fixed
route or bus stops. Incidentally, APAS is actively involved in about
250 events globally every year. Up until mid-January 2018, for example,
we are running transport services at the German Design
Exhibition in Doha (Qatar).
