when it comes to impressing your<br />

Be approachable and give them something to remember.<br />

WHY THIS JOB/COMPANY?<br />

What you know and understand about the job you are<br />

applying for is always addressed in the interview. So make<br />

sure you have done some background research into the<br />

company and what your specific role in the team would be.<br />

If you are unsure this is a very important question to ask.<br />

You should leave the interview with a clear idea of what is<br />

being asked of you.<br />

THE SMALL TALK<br />

Please don’t forget your panel<br />

members are human. It’s very<br />

likely they’ll offer a few ice<br />

breaker questions- I do! Whether<br />

they ask how your journey in was<br />

or what your plans for the rest<br />

of the day are, relax and talk.<br />

Try not to say anything negative here. It is best to stick<br />

with career progression, a new career path or that your<br />

skills are relevant to this role. Leading on to…<br />

WHAT SKILLS CAN YOU BRING TO THIS ROLE?<br />

When you applied for the role there would have been a<br />

job description and person specification. It’s a good idea<br />

to bring a copy of this to the interview. Have prepared<br />
