In 2016’ by Buzzfeed, Youtuber and stand-up comedian
Kenny Sebastian is set to entertain Malaysian audiences
this January. Sebastian released his fifth comedy special,
Don’t Be That Guy, on Amazon in 2017. He also wrote
and hosted a season of sketch comedy shows, The
Living Room, on Comedy Central India in 2014.

OLA BOLA THE MUSICAL
Directed by Tiara Jacquelina, this all-Malaysian
musical will re-enact the events surrounding
the 1980s Harimau Malaya football team, as told
in the 2016 film Ola Bola by Chiu Keng Guan.
Watch this inspiring story unfold on stage in
between rap and hip hop numbers featuring
some original cast members from the film and
music by composer-lyricist Mia Palencia and
Rapper-lyricist Altimet.

THE 2ND MALAYSIAN INTERNATIONAL
FILM FESTIVAL
This year’s Malaysian International Film
Festival revolves around two concepts of
Hope and Despair, under the overall theme
of Humanity. Drawing from its success last
year, the festival will feature 20 local and
international films from across the globe
and showcase the work of filmmakers from
Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam
and Singapore with its newly added ‘Southeast
Asian Film Focus’ category.
