Challenge Little River Service Station provides excellent customer service and<br />
a wide range of amenities. Their main goal is to serve everyone’s individual<br />
needs - from the forecourt, workshop, bike hire to take away food and a range<br />
of groceries/hardwares for campers, fisherman and travellers. The staff are local,<br />
very committed and friendly providing all local travel information. Open 7 days a<br />
week 7:00am-7:30pm on the Main Road, Challenge Little River is a great place to<br />
stop for a coffee on your way to or from Christchurch and Akaroa - especially on<br />
Saturday as there are garage sales outside the Station.<br />

The Banks Peninsula Walking Festival running every weekend in November<br />
provides an opportunity to explore the incredible Peninsula scenery while enjoying<br />
a bit of an adventure along the way. Choose from a gentle stroll to a more<br />
invigorating tramp, with walks based all over the Peninsula . Walkers will get a<br />
chance to see the incredible recovery at Ohinetahi Reserve, head out sketching<br />
with artists in Lyttelton, discover Diamond <strong>Harbour</strong>’s delicious sun-drenched walks<br />
or explore remote areas not normally open to the public. Plus special activities for<br />
familes! Learn and be inspired by our wonderful local guides.<br />
