The Little Ship Club of
Canterbury is a group of current,
former and future cruisers who
gather on a monthly basis at
Naval Point Club in Lyttelton
to discuss articles of interest,
listen to keynote speakers and
organise events connected
with the sea and those who
sail on it. Events include:
Marine electronics workshops,
meteorology, how to read the
clouds, talks from cruisers about
their past adventures, learn how
to splice ropes, on-water sailing
events, tours of visiting boats,
provisioning, nautical book
launches, rigging, and much
more. Everyone is welcome to
attend, free entry, the bar is open
and annual club membership is
just $20 per person.

Lost Cave Baches
Friday, all day
Visit an exhibition of photos
and stories that explores the history
of the lost cave baches.
Hidden in the cliffs of the
peninsula were three Edwardian
cave mansions resplendent with
chandeliers, a grand piano, a
camera obscure, and ringing
with the music of the times.
This exhibition will show photographs
and tell stories of the lost
cave baches, located between the
east end of Taylors Mistake and
Boulder Bay. A booklet will be
available with photographs and
stories.
