PEGASUS POST
THE LOOK and feel of New Brighton is in
the balance.
On page 1 today we reveal a survey over
use of the red zone. A key part is whether
Rawhiti Golf Club will move to Bexley and
open the way up for housing on its current site.
The Rawhiti course is publicly owned and is prime real estate
for a developer.
The plan would be to merge Rawhiti and Avondale Golf Club
at Bexley. But Avondale owns its own land and has new clubrooms.
Club members appear to be split on the move.
Interesting times.
Speaking of which we’ve refreshed our masthead and page 2,
and there’s more to changes in the wind. I’ll keep you posted.
