Open Road Series is an exhibition
by Justine Ottey. The series of 100
paintings is made up of snapshots
of the journey to Akaroa. The
paintings are seen as a viewpoint
of a traveller moving rapidly across
the land experiencing the change of
light and seasonal variations.

A Christmas Carol
Today and Friday, 7pm,
Thursday, 6pm
The court jesters have gotten into
the spirit of Christmas by taking on
the well-known story A Christmas
Carol by Charles Dickens. The
play has only two performers, one
pianist and requires a lot of help
from the audience. Enjoy a twist on
the classic story and help the actors
out along the way. This show is
suitable for families with children
over the age of eight.

STORY TIME: Settle in for some excellent stories, songs and fun at Eastgate Shopping

will hold a special Christmas
Market at St Martins Primary
School. All of the usual local
growers and producers will be
there with fresh produce and
locally made goods for your

be much more on offer to get
those last minute details sorted
for your day.

YMCA Carols By
Candlelight
Saturday, 9-10pm
This event is a fun way for
family and friends to enjoy the
magic of Christmas Eve. Take
along your friends, family,
picnic and chairs and join the
YMCA for a wonderful evening
of carol singing. Candles and
carol books are on sale at the
event, with food and coffee
vendors on-site.
