Lincoln Decision Day helps<br />
students choose future<br />
<strong>2018</strong> has come around quickly. Maybe<br />
school is fast becoming a memory, or perhaps<br />
you are looking for a new direction. If you<br />
are new to tertiary study, <strong>2018</strong> might even be<br />
fees free, giving you the perfect start to your<br />
academic study.<br />
On 25 <strong>January</strong> Lincoln University is holding<br />
its Decision Day event on campus, from 9am<br />
to 4pm. Experts will be available to answer<br />
your questions about what to study, help you<br />
enrol and discuss your options so that the<br />
decision about where to study becomes easier.<br />
Lincoln is gearing up for a big year, adding<br />
new majors to its popular Commerce degrees<br />
as well as new programmes, to make sure it is<br />
offering choice to students.<br />
Students are now able to include a<br />
transferable environmental management<br />
major into a commerce degree, ensuring<br />
they are ready to meet the environmental<br />
challenges they will face in the future.<br />
Or they can include Event Management,<br />
Parks and Outdoor Recreation, Tourism<br />
Management and Water Management,<br />
bringing new skills, perspectives and depth to<br />
their studies.<br />
There are also new separate majors in<br />
Supply Chain Management and Global<br />
Business in the Bachelor of Commerce as<br />
well as new programmes such as the Master<br />
of Professional Accounting (CPA) and the<br />
Bachelor of Commerce (Agriculture and<br />
Professional Accounting), both of which<br />
prepare students to qualify as a professional<br />
accountants.<br />
There is also the Master of Business<br />
in Finance, providing a perspective on<br />
finance in New Zealand and international<br />
contexts, with reference to sustainability,<br />
agribusiness, entrepreneurship, innovation<br />
and commercialisation<br />
Lincoln still has places in its on-campus<br />
student accommodation available, offering<br />
an opportunity to enjoy the whole range of<br />
student life.<br />
