Ellesmere College<br />
IT WAS an evening of dance and<br />
festivity with Ellesmere College<br />
celebrating its annual school<br />
ball.<br />
Nearly 200 students along with<br />
22 staff attended the ball recently<br />
at Riccarton Park. It was themed<br />
‘Travel – The World Awaits.’<br />
The night started off with a<br />
buffet dinner and when the celebrations<br />
finished students were<br />
returned to Leeston in buses.<br />
The school hosted head students<br />
from Lincoln High School,<br />
Darfield High School and Mount<br />
Hutt College.<br />
Administration support<br />
teacher Lindsay Cook said it was<br />
a great evening and the students<br />
loved the event.<br />
The college’s netball team is<br />
now planning to organise a “ball<br />
gown parade” as a fundraiser in<br />
the future.<br />
