Representative to join our busy and successful team in our Rural<br />

Supplies store in Leeston.<br />

About the role:<br />

Join us in this fulltime, in-store role where you will provide technical<br />

sales advice and service to a range of customers. You will be involved<br />

in the day to day administration and processes required for the store<br />

to run effectively. You will assist with the ordering and correct display<br />

of merchandise and complete store activities in line with company<br />

procedures. You’ll have a keen interest and passion for the local<br />

agricultural sector, and your ability to relate well to both colleagues<br />

and customers will set you up for a long and successful career within<br />

our organisation.<br />

Duties and Responsibilities:<br />

• Be the first point of contact at the forefront of growing our<br />

customers experience<br />

• Help to optimise sales opportunities and take a leading role in a<br />

successful store with exceptional customer focus<br />

• Assist the Store Manager with regular administrative tasks<br />

• Assist customers, colleagues and suppliers to answer queries and<br />

resolve problems<br />

• This role includes rostered Saturday mornings<br />

Skills and Experience:<br />

• New Zealand rural sector knowledge and experience<br />

• Proven computer and administration skills<br />

• Excellent oral and written communication skills<br />

• Retail experience is preferred<br />

• Full and current New Zealand driver’s licence<br />

• Physical fitness as heavy lifting is required<br />

Support Assistant<br />

Rakaia Island Limited (RIL) is a large scale family dairy<br />

farming business comprising six dairy units, support<br />

and cropping land. The properties are located at<br />

Rakaia Island, Southbridge and Woodstock Farms<br />

near Oxford.<br />

A Maintenance and Support Assistant is required to<br />

work as part of the Rakaia Island Maintenance and<br />

Support team who maintain the infrastructure of<br />

these large scale dairy farms and associated support<br />

operations.<br />

The position would suit someone with the following<br />

attributes:<br />

• Good communication skills and fits in well with the<br />

team and be able to relate to staff from different<br />

ethnic groups<br />

• Ability to work unsupervised and prioritise workload.<br />

• Previous farming background.<br />

• Welding skills.<br />

• Tractor/loader operational skills.<br />

• Excellent mechanical, engineering and general<br />

maintenance knowledge.<br />
