(formerly Loons Theatre),

Kingdom-based Neil Fisher, the

FFFUTURE FFFOCUSED ART
PRIZE PREVIEW
The Physics Room will play
host to the inaugural Fffuture
Fffocused Art Prize, which aims
to inspire the nation’s artists to
engage with the all-important
concept of the future. The
exhibition opens Friday night,
opens with a concert by the
Cathedral of the Blessed
Sacrament choir and orchestra,
featuring Schubert’s Unfinished
Symphony, and a beautiful setting
by Mendelssohn of the Aquinas
hymn Lauda Sion. It is believed
to be the first time this work
will be heard in New Zealand.

Maths craft day featuring seven
craft creation stations as well as
public talks by mathematician
crafters. The day-long celebration
of maths promises to engage
people of all ages. Crochet a
hyperbolic plane, build a fractal
sculpture, fold an origami
octahedron, and listen to talks
about the connections between
maths and crafts. Open to
everyone: Experts and amateurs,
maths-fans and maths-phobes,
the crafty and the curious. Hosted
