THERE ARE people
around you that you
admire. It is not uncommon
to nurse
the hope that one
day you would become
like them.
The people we admire have certain
qualities that attract us. They
are people who seem to be living
life on their own terms.
They seem to have everything
they want. They are always decently
dressed.
They live in self-built mansions.
They drive the latest cars.
They eat not in chop bars but
in restaurants. They travel to
places of their choice and have
fun.
Kings and queens
Everything about them speaks
of success- marriage and relationships,
finances, career and business
success; they are wealthy and have
radiant health. They live like kings
and queens.
They live above reproach. For
the most part, they are honest and
have integrity.
They are hardworking individuals.
Their lives seem to be governed
by certain high standards
and principles. Most of these people
believe in Higher Power and
the importance of the relationship
thereof.
They look like magnets, attracting
into their lives anything they
desire. Good things seem to flow
effortlessly into their lives.
I call the people whose lives fit
the aforementioned descriptions
successful examples. We can find
them in almost every field of
human endeavor.
Jim Rohn, a motivational expert
once noted: “You are the average
of the five people you spend the
most time with.” If you want to be
successful in life, you must follow
successful examples. You should
spend more time with successful
people. There is a lot to learn from
them.
Successful example
If you want to be like somebody
because of their success,
then that person is your successful
example. If you want to be like
Dei Tumi because he is a successful
writer and author, he is your
successful example.
What kind of success do you
want? Associate with those who
have that kind of success. Learn
their success habits.
Successful examples are more
than willing to share their wisdom
and experiences with others. Read
the books they read, practice what
they practice and do the things
they do to become more like them.
Principles and
strategies
Find out the principles and
strategies they used to acquire
their success and start applying
them to your own life to achieve
the kind of success they have.
There are many ways you can
connect with your successful examples.
You can register and become
a member of the club to
which they belong, attend their
conferences and seminars to learn
from them.
Since successful examples are
busy people, book an appointment
to meet with them at a date and
time suitable to them. Let your
goal be clear to your successful example.
What area of your life needs a
change? Your successful example
will show you how to do it.
Your successful example will
share their secrets of success with
you. They will tell you some of the
challenges they faced in the course
of their lives and what they did to
overcome them.
Perseverance story
Almost all successful examples
have a perseverance story to tell.
Some of them encountered serious
setbacks and obstacles but
bounced back. Kevin Harrington
said: “If you allow temporary obstacles
to become your permanent
reality, you’ll never achieve phenomenal
success.” They turn the
obstacles that stand in their way
into stepping stones to achieve
success.
Successful examples always
stick with their dreams and refuse
to quit even when the odds are
overwhelming. They have an upbeat
outlook on life. They look on
the bright side of things.
Successful examples do not fear
failure. They recognize it is part of
the process for getting to the top.
They make mistakes but do not
give up as a result of that. They
simply learn the lessons, find new
ways of doing it and move on.
They keep their eyes on the goal,
work towards it until they wear the
crown of success. You must do
the same.
Successful examples often
avoid negative people. You can call
them psychic vampires. They complain
a lot about their circumstances,
give all manner of excuses
as to why they have not been able
to achieve their goals in life. They
often blame others for their problems.
They gossip about the success
of others. They are energy
suckers.
You need to surround yourself
with uplifting people, people who
believe in you and can encourage
you.
Associate with the people who
can bring out the best in you. They
will guide you to your desired destination
in life.
No matter the conditions of
your life, you could build a life of
success just as others have done.

As soon as you begin to implement

gives wisdom, knowledge and understanding
which are prerequisites
of success.
When you combine action with
faith, miracles follow. All what
your heart desires begin to flow effortlessly
into your life. A life of
abundance soon overtakes you.
You should never take your
presence in this world for granted.
You have a mission to fulfill. Surrender
yourself to God and allow
him to accomplish his purposes
through you. Do something that
challenges God and you will always
be a winner no matter the
odds that life throws at you.
When all else fails, whom do
you turn to for help? The God in
you. Let this God find expression
in the things you do. You need a
harmonious relationship with God
for things to happen.
When you abandon God, you
have set yourself up to fail in life.
Successful examples always look
up to God who has all the answers
to every problem. Our God is a
God of infinite possibilities. Move
towards him and he moves towards
you. He orders your steps
so you can reach your full potential
in life.
In conclusion, if you want to
become more successful, hang out
with people who are more successful
than you are; learn their success
secrets and apply them to
your life. You will become like
your successful examples-living in
abundance.
