Hank, the border collie cross we
featured over Christmas has found a
home.
Hank was on our front page promoting
the Dogwatch Sanctuary Trust’s 2018 calendar. He wasn’t in it
– only canines that have been rehomed make the cut.
Hank had been at Dogwatch since October, and the people
who run the deserving organisation needed a family with the
patience to take him – Hank has a few quirks.
That’s not uncommon in dogs that end up in the pound;
they’ve usually been pushed from pillar to post before they get
there.
So a new start for the two year-old, who also has a new name:

Belly dancing fun
for men & women
The new term of Beginners belly dance
classes at Kashmir Belly Dance in South
Brighton starts in February. The class will
be on Monday evenings from February 12
at 6.30pm, while a mixed class (men and
women) will be on Thursday evenings from
February 15 at 7.30pm.
Anyone enrolling and pre-paying by
February 10 will receive a $20 discount.

The eight, 75-minute classes comprise an
hour of dance movement and 15 minutes of
background information on belly dancing,
with videos and music.
With one husband and wife already signed
up, instructor Kashmir is encouraging more
men to join the mixed class.
“Belly dancing is not just for women,” she
says. “It is fun and enjoyable for everyone.”
Belly dancing can also be a step on the way
to a new fitness regime, and participants get
to know how their body works through the
various movements, Kashmir says.
