Awesome. Looking forward to
watching your documentary.
Deborah Baughan – You
brave people.
Robert Beasley has taken
a political stand against the
controversial cycleways
with a blank wall, a
paintbrush and a stencil
Jon Mitchell Bollocks –
The council has been elected
to make decisions for the
community. Cycling is much
more part of the future for
transport in Christchurch. Some
dinosaurs need to get over it and
themselves.
Matt Cuthill – The (city
council) spend our money on
crazy road layouts, meanwhile
our water system falls to pieces
with the result that we will
not be able to drink it shortly
because of chlorination.
Carol Anderson – Well
done Rob, councillors need to
remember who voted them in
as we can sure as hell vote them
out. Cyclists are a minority and
they are putting them first.
Lisa Trimble – I’m all for
cycleways but Grove St is a
shocker. Parked cars on one
side, ridiculously wide cycleway
on the other means if you drive
down it and someone drives up,
you’re head-on. Only options are
to drive up onto the cycleway,
drive into a parked car or
dangerously reverse back around
the corner.
Maria Mann – Good on him.
Jon Mitchell – They’ll get
the message about the bike lanes
eventually.
Ann Carey – Good on you
for bringing this to people’s
attention.
A couple who spent
five hours trapped in the
Hotel Grand Chancellor
as aftershocks shook
the 26-storey building
on February 22, 2011, are
making a documentary
about the experience
Thomas Rummel – Good
on you guys. I can relate to your
story as I went through the same
nightmare in the Forsyth
Barr House. No doubt this
will hit a nerve with many others
with similar experiences. We
have come out stronger
at the other end but many
for voting in favour of
others haven’t been as lucky.
Tracey Cron – So sorry to
hear the traumatic experience
you went through and the
ongoing aftermath. The life you
both live now seems wonderful.
Yes, life is short. I will keep a
look out for your doco.
Helen Young – I hope all of
us can see this or at least those
who would like to see this in
Christchurch and survived the
quakes.
Diane Dick – Looking
forward to watching your video.
Thank you for sharing your
incredible experiences with us.
Olivia Lemusu Tauamiti –
Bromley residents
continue to be frustrated
by midges due to the
length of time measures
to solve the problem are
taking
Mia Griffiths – Might have
to start installing screens
on windows and doors like
Australia does. Maybe the
council could provide assistance.
Diane Redington – It’s
called screens on windows and
screen doors – problem solved.
Ashley Campbell – Hope
that the vegetation is native
which will attract fantails, which
love midges.
Cindy Marie – Most of
Christchurch has an issue with
midges and mosquitos since the
earthquakes.
Marcelle Kleinmeulman –
Welcome to some areas of
Marlborough.
Steve Burge – Close the
windows and install air-con.
Sorted.
