FLOOR CLEANING SALE 20% off carpet cleaning, area rug cleaning & upholstery cleaning. police reports Chicago man steals $1,400 worth of merchandise from CVS Ronald Dillard, 44, of Chicago, was charged with a felony count of retail theft at 10:26 a.m. on Feb. 4 at the CVS store located in the 900 block of Willow Road. Dillard left the store without paying for approximately $1,400 worth of merchandise. He was seen leaving the area in a vehicle that was later stopped in Morton Grove after a radio broadcast was given, according to police. He was processed and charged with one felony count after approval from the Cook County State’s Attorney. In other police news: Feb. 8 • Jacob Connor Marx, 20, of Northbrook, was charged with driving while under the influence at 12:19 a.m. in the intersection of Keystone and Redwood. Officers observed a suspicious occupied vehicle while on routine patrol. When checked, the subject, who was in physical control of the vehicle, was driving while under the influence. He was processed and released on bond. • A business located in the 3700 block of Torrey Pines reported they received two checks for services rendered from a business that were returned for insufficient funds at 12:54 p.m. Feb. 7 • Redante R. Redditt, 38, of Sauk Village, was charged with a felony count of identity theft at 4:20 p.m. at the Verizon Wireless store located in the 200 block of Skokie Boulevard. Redditt attempted to purchase two iPhones using account information that he was not authorized to use. Charges were approved by the Cook County State’s Attorney office. He was processed on the charge and transported to court for bond. Feb. 6 • A resident of the 2200 block of Valencia reported that when they returned to their home at 9:46 p.m., they found it had been entered by unknown subjects. Several rooms in the house were entered and belongings were disturbed, according to police. Feb. 4 • Weislaw Czerepak, 57, of Mount Prospect, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and improper lane usage at 7:26 p.m. in the intersection of Dundee and Sanders roads. Officers responded to the area after a report of a property damage traffic crash. When they arrived, they found that the second vehicle in the crash had left the scene. The second vehicle was stopped by Wheeling police and the driver was processed and released after posting bond. • Danny A. Louras, 29, of Northfield, was charged with driving while under the influence and failure to signal at 10:05 p.m. in the intersection of Willow and Pfingsten roads. Officers stopped a vehicle after a traffic offense and found the driver was driving while under the influence of alcohol. • Sometime between Jan. 31 and Feb. 5, unknown subject(s) entered a maintenance building in the 1300 block of Willow Road and took various power tools. • A resident reported their wallet was missing from their purse when they attempted to make a purchase at 12:10 p.m. at the Trader Joe’s store located in the 100 block of Skokie Boulevard. Feb. 3 • Osvaldo Chavez-Bermeo, 45, of Wheeling, was charged with improper lane usage, no insurance and driving with a suspended license at 12:57 a.m. in the intersection of Willow and Landwehr roads. • Florence Reyes, 46, of Chicago, was charged with speeding, violated median, no insurance and driving while under the influence at 1:39 a.m. in the intersection of Dundee and Timber. • Requintis Brown, 36, of Chicago, was charged with improper use of an electronic device, no proof of insurance and driving while license suspended at 10:52 a.m. in the intersection of Landwehr and Lindberg. Feb. 1 • Edward B. Bukwa, 55, of Chicago, was charged with driving while under the influence BAC less than .08, uninsured vehicle, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane usage at 11:54 p.m. in the intersection of Skokie and Dundee. Officers stopped the vehicle after noticing a traffic offense while on routine patrol. They found he was driving under the influence.
