SCHOOL
Summit Hill Junior High’s
Art Club was assigned the
task of creating a new mural
for the main hallway. A mural
contest was held with the
hopes that students would
create a design that encompassed
school spirit and their
core classes. After viewing
the entries, the staff determined
that the winner was
Paulina Gutierrez, a seventhgrade
student at SHJH.
The Art Club students
worked hard to ensure that
Paulina’s vision was brought
to life to the best of their abilities.
The students worked in
small groups to sketch out the
design, make sure the overall
scale was correct and paint
the mural. Over winter break,
the new mural was installed.
These students have officially
made their mark on the school.
