Christchurch’s newest Irish venue - A Rolling Stone is open and
looking forward to seeing you!
According to Gretchen Kane, co-owner, the pub name pays tribute
to poetry and song, and to ancient Ireland and its many historic stone
buildings and monuments.
“We offer warmth, atmosphere and authentic Irish hospitality from
the heart of Ireland to the heart of Christchurch,” said Gretchen. “We
serve a genuine taste of Ireland and have great chefs producing a
hearty menu that offers both Irish and Kiwi fare, as well as excellent
coffee. And, without a doubt, we pour the best pint of Guinness in
town. If you’re partial to a good Guinness, you’re welcome to join our
Guinness Club.”
But the A Rolling Stone experience doesn’t end there. ey also host
an array of great entertainment throughout the week ranging from
Trad Nights (the age old informal gathering of musicians to play
traditional tunes. All styles are warmly welcome); Open Mic Nights
(where all musicians and genres are invited to jam); Live Bands;
Karaoke; and DJ’s.
Oozing rustic charm, the open plan pub has a wonderfully warm
ambience making it an ideal venue to consider for private functions
and events. It also has a street side courtyard, the perfect place to relax
in the sunshine with a cool drink.
