and adults with disabilities in the Greater Houston<br />
Area will have the programs they need to live longer,<br />
healthier, more productive lives.<br />
In addition to their weekly work in the arena,<br />
many of our volunteers donate their time and<br />
talents at fund-raising events such as our annual<br />
Ride-A-Thon and the yearly Trailblazers Luncheon.<br />
Volunteers are on hand during the NARHA<br />
on-site certification and annual SIRE Show-Off<br />
and volunteers are vital to our Clients’ successes<br />
at the Top Hands Horse Show, during the Houston<br />
Rodeo and competition at the regional and<br />
state Special Olympics. <strong>The</strong>rapeutic horseback<br />
riding creates a bond of success between the<br />
rider and their horse. Volunteers are their own<br />
personal cheering section and the instructor is<br />
their mentor and coach. Clients become more<br />
empowered and better equipped to fully live<br />
their lives, each day.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Katy Community Giving Circle is open to any<br />
resident in the Katy area who wants to make a<br />
difference by giving collectively. Our mission is<br />
to create a circle of giving in our community by<br />
collectively contributing to organizations that<br />
will benefit or improve the lives of the people in<br />
our neighborhoods. By combining members tax<br />
deductible donations of just $10 per month, we<br />
are determined to make a greater giving impact!<br />

ADOPT A US SOLDIER<br />
Adopt A US Soldier is a non-profit organization<br />
that seeks volunteers and donors to help show<br />
the brave men and women fighting for our freedom<br />
that their sacrifices will not go unnoticed.<br />
It connects supportive civilians with deployed<br />
soldiers and offers a channel by which to communicate<br />
encouragement and express gratitude to<br />
those serving in the United States Armed Forces.<br />
Adopt A US Soldier is sustained by its volunteer<br />
workforce located across the United States.<br />

When registering for Adopt A US Soldier your<br />
involvement can range from writing letters and<br />
sending postcards, to mailing care packages full<br />
of items a soldier may need or want. Handwritten<br />
letters are most important and meaningful to soldiers.<br />

adopt a soldier to show your support for those that<br />

seniors. Do you have a little free time? Do you enjoy<br />
the company of seniors? We would love to have you<br />
volunteer your time and services to our wonderful<br />
residents. Spanish Meadows Nursing and Rehab<br />
opened its doors in the fall of 2005 bringing quality<br />
care in a luxury environment to Katy and surrounding<br />
