VILLAGE VOICES
LAUNCHED
IN FEBRUARY
I am pleased to report that you now
have the chance to tell us how you
really feel about Greenwood Village…
… online! As part of our efforts to
actively expand our efforts to engage
the community and have a better
dialogue with
all of you —
our residents,
we are excited
to announce we
just launched a
new, online
community
engagement
tool called
VILLAGE
VOICES. We
believe this will be a great way for twoway
communication with our residents
online and get your input on
important issues or projects in a more
hands-on and involved manner.
VILLAGE VOICES will be used as an
engagement tool anytime we need to
hear from you on Village issues and
projects, and even to supplement
engaging with neighborhoods about
planning and zoning issues.
VILLAGE VOICES launched to
coincide with engaging the
community about the Transportation
Master Plan so this is the right time
for you to get involved and begin
using this online community
engagement tool for this very
important quality of life issue —
traffic.
VILLAGE VOICES is fully viewable
when you go to the site, however, you
must register to be able to interact and
complete surveys, leave ideas, use the
interactive maps, and more. The
registration is pretty basic, it just
requires an email address and
password.

GV RECOGNIZED AT
DIGNIFIED HONORS
CEREMONY
In February, Greenwood Village City
Hall was humbled to host a special
recognition ceremony of the Federal
Protection Agency with its honorable
guest, the U.S. Army 10th Special
Forces Group Commander Colonel
Lawrence Ferguson.
In November of 2017, Col. Ferguson
participated in a Dignified Honor
Motorcade for KIA Sergeant Stephen
Cribben and observed what many of
our community members have, law
enforcement and fire department
vehicles on highway overpasses and the
personnel of these departments
rendering honors as the Dignified
Honors Motorcade passes through
each city. Col. Ferguson was extremely
touched and grateful for agencies
coming together to honor fallen
soldiers and their family members and
wanted to take time out of his
extremely busy schedule to travel from
Fort Carson in Colorado Springs and
personally thank every jurisdiction
including the Greenwood Village
Police Department, Larkspur Fire,
Douglas County Sheriff’s Office,
South Metro Fire, Aurora Fire, Denver
Fire, The Flag Guys, American Legion
Riders, Colorado Department of
Transportation (CDOT), Castle Rock
Fire, Castle Rock Police, Lone Tree
Police, and Arapahoe County Sheriff’s
Office.
