My assemblage mixed media boxes create miniature rooms that reflect the feeling of a woman
growing up in the fifties. Yes, I do consider myself to be a feminist, but that lingering feeling of not
being taken seriously, of not really mattering, of not being truly equal is hard to get rid of. I
communicate that feeling in my art, my daughters are much more powerful and assertive and I am
proud to have raised them.
