THE VACUUM PRESS<br />
After inserting the layered veneer on top of the mould into the vacuum bag<br />
Sam then proceeded to roll over the edge of the bag and connect the vacuum<br />
pump and turn it on. We then added the clamps to the four wheel arches to<br />
make sure that the vacuum would really close the gaps on where mould<br />
needed to be as perfect as possible.<br />
Keeping the vacuum as perfect as possible is a tough task as you can see in<br />
the photos above. The deck had to sit undisturbed for a couple of hours while<br />
the glue set and the vacuum press did its job on the maple.<br />
