hour and is rewarding for people<br />

Shabbat Sha-sleepover<br />

Spend Friday night to Saturday<br />

morning at Am Shalom<br />

for the congregation’s Shabbat<br />

Sha-sleepover, and “take over”<br />

Am Shalom for the night. From<br />

dinner to services and breakfast,<br />

all will spend the night playing<br />

games, playing hide-and-seek,<br />

watching movies, eating dessert,<br />

and having fun. The sleepover<br />

starts at 6 p.m. and pickup will<br />

be at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 17,<br />

Only $30 per person. Guests and<br />

non-members are welcome.<br />

IN MEMORIAM<br />

Robert Binkley<br />

Robert, a New Trier graduate,<br />

was born on Aug. 25, 1935 and<br />

died Feb. 23. Binkley was a resident<br />

of Ames, Iowa at the time<br />

of passing. He grew up in Winnetka<br />

and graduated from New<br />

Trier High School in 1954. After<br />

graduating, he was drafted into<br />

the Army.<br />

Robert Drew<br />

Robert Earl Drew, a New Trier<br />

graduate, died Feb. 3. Born Nov.<br />

22, 1930 in Chicago, to Colleen<br />

and Leslie Drew. Drew attended<br />

New Trier High School, graduating<br />

in 1948. Drew entered the<br />

University of Illinois in 1948,<br />

and graduated with a Bachelor of<br />

Science in mechanical engineering<br />

in 1952. Shortly after graduating<br />

from the University of Illinois,<br />

Drew married Patricia<br />

Michelman and moved to New<br />

Mexico where he was a lieutenant<br />

in the Army based at White<br />

Sands Proving Grounds. After<br />

leaving the military, they moved<br />

to Milwaukee, made several<br />

life-long friends, before eventually<br />

landing in Kenilworth in the<br />

early ‘60s. In Milwaukee, Drew<br />

began his professional career<br />

working in industrial sales for<br />

Cutler Hammer before joining<br />

his father, Leslie, and brother,<br />

Roger, at Drew & Carr in the advertising<br />

world. In 1969, Drew<br />

left advertising to own and run a<br />

plastics firm, Leon Bush Manufacturing.<br />

For over 25 years, he<br />

utilized his mechanical engineering<br />

background designing<br />

several household and toy items<br />

and was credited with several<br />

patents. Including his youth and<br />

most of his adult life, Drew lived<br />

in Kenilworth for over 70 years,<br />

enjoyed coaching local youth<br />

baseball and football teams and<br />

was the defacto league photographer<br />

during the ‘60s and ‘70s.<br />

Drew was also an active member<br />

in The Church of the Holy Comforter<br />

and was a Sunday school<br />

teacher for many years. In May<br />

2017, he sold the family home<br />

and relocated close to family in<br />

Three Rivers, Michigan, which<br />

is also where he and the family<br />

enjoyed reunions for the past<br />

20 years. Robert Earl Drew was<br />

preceded in death by his beloved<br />

wife of 63 years, Patricia, and<br />

will be interned with Patricia at<br />

The Church of The Holy Comforter.<br />

Drew is survived by his<br />

four children, Deborah Drew<br />

Howell (Steven), George Robert<br />

Drew (Beth), David Michael<br />

Drew (Carrie) and Gerald Philip<br />

Drew (Elizabeth). He is also survived<br />

by 13 grandchildren and 7<br />

great-grandchildren. A memorial<br />

service will be held at 11 a.m. on<br />

March 23 at The Church of The<br />

Holy Comforter in Kenilworth.<br />

Molly Driscoll<br />

Molly P. Driscoll nee Packel,<br />

a New Trier graduate, 67, died<br />

in Mexico. Driscoll was the beloved<br />

wife of Michael P., loving<br />

mother of Mark (Abbey)<br />

and Greg Driscoll and Breanne<br />

(Erik) Liscinsky, devoted grandmother<br />

of Kellan and Katherine<br />

Driscoll and Ian and Emmett<br />

Liscinsky, dear sister of Jeannine<br />

Packel, Renée (James) Wochner<br />

and the late Joel, Ned and John<br />

Packel. Driscoll was a graduate<br />

of St. Joseph Grammar School<br />

in 1964, New Trier High School<br />

in 1968 and Stephens College.<br />

Visitation was Tuesday, March<br />

6 at St. Norbert Church, 1809<br />

Walters Avenue, Northbrook,<br />

where a funeral mass was celebrated<br />

on Wednesday, March 7,<br />

Interment was private. In lieu of<br />

flowers contributions to St. Norbert<br />

School or an Animal welfare<br />

charity of your choice<br />
