Nature in the Tyrolean Alps is slowly but surely waking up
from hibernation, and it is accompanied by an inimitable
smell – the smell of spring. While the surrounding mountains
are still snow-capped, the first snowdrops are blossoming
and the meadows are changing into colourful seas
of flowers.
As soon as this picturesque scenery comes into view, it
lets one forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The
last metres of driving through the forest, the entrance to
the glamorous parking garage, the warm welcome accompanied
by our signature welcome rose, and the peace and
quiet – that is when you know that you have finally and
truly arrived at the ‘Interalpen’.
The generous and cosy rooms, the finest culinary delights –
created by Mario Döring and his team – and the spa, which
invites you to sit back and relax in its ever-expanding areas,
all evoke a welcoming feeling. This year we have created an
exclusive ladies-only wellness oasis, the Ladies’ Spa, while
kids and teens too will find new areas to explore and conquer
at the Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol. Like the spa, the fitness
area and our active programme have also been revamped.
You will find a teaser of what to expect in our current issue
of the Interalpen Magazine.

The Hohe Munde in spring
Hohe Munde –
the mountain in our Backyard
A sight to behold – thanks to its exposed position and unusual shape
it is sure to draw many looks: The Hohe Munde, the mountain in our
very own backyard.
While dense fog is still covering the valley, this limestone feature
sparkles and shines in the rising suns first rays. Early mornings on the
Hohe Munde’s peak are truly breathtakingly spectacular. At 2,662
metres high it is the eastern-most peak of the Mieminger Kette
range and offers unique 360-degree views from the Inntal to the
Karwendel and the Wetterstein ranges, as far as the Zillertal and
Stubai Alps, and Germany’s highest peak, the Zugspitze. The sweeping
views not only fascinate hikers and nature lovers, but are also
inspiration for artists: The premiere of ‘Munde’, a drama by acclaimed
local author Felix Mitterer, took place atop the mountain’s peak,
which was also featured in an episode of the much-loved crime
series ‘Tatort’.
If you want to climb the Munde – also known as ‘Altar of Telfs’ –
starting from the Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol, you should be an experienced
and sure-footed hiker, as it takes approximately eight hours to
cover the 1,500 metres in altitude.
However, if you decide to tackle the hike, you will be rewarded with
breathtaking views all along the route, for instance if you decide to
take a break at the Rauthütte.
Discover the region
with E-bikes from Cube
Cube is a supplier of premium E-bikes, and starting in May, the
Interalpen- Hotel Tyrol will offer the brand’s E-mountain bikes and
step-through bikes for rent. Apart from the bikes’ premium quality,
the cooperation with Cube offers another specific advantage for all
our guests: As of the 2018 summer season, the entire Olympiaregion
Seefeld will be supplied with Cube Bikes. Professional maps with
detailed route descriptions will guide you through well-marked
routes in and around Seefeld and you will be able to recharge your
E-bike at various stations that are both marked and pointed out in
the route descriptions. In case of a flat tire or other mishaps the
necessary tools are at your disposal so that you can set off and enjoy
a ride on one of our E-bikes without a worry.

change, but so have our courses. Our Spa manager Lisa Marie
Stangier overhauled the whole programme, which now waits to be
tried and tested by you. From the beginning, the Interalpen-Spa knew
to convince with its experienced team. The staff’s knowledge of the
human body, the muscoskeletal system, relaxation and overall health
has been incorporated in the new programme and is reflected in the

This is set to delight our youngest guests – and we are happy ourselves:
The newly refurbished Kindergarten with Youth Lounge and
cinema.
The Tipsi Club offers space for all our young guests to play, tinker and
craft, or just kick back and listen to a fairy tale after they have been
playing on the adventure playground. Teens can meet in the Youth
Lounge and play a game of poker, foosball or darts, but they can also
check in for a movie night complete with popcorn and all the usual
trims. Your little ones and teenagers are in the best hands – our Tipsi
Club and Youth Lounge staff will look after their every need and turn

Golf Tirol Card –

New Heights
This is the ideal membership for any golfer: With
the Golf Tirol Card you can play six different golf
courses throughout Tyrol. These include the classic
18-hole golf course in Seefeld-Wildmoos, which we
will happily drive you to in one of our golf cars, as
well as the 27-hole Golf Park Mieminger Plateau
and the 27-hole golf course at the Golf Club Innsbruck-Igls.

As of the 2018 summer season you can look forward to test-driving
some BMW sports car models in the Tyrolean Alps. The Alpine roads
in the hotel’s vicinity are ideal for scenic drives with stops along the
way to take in the scenery while enjoying a picnic put together by
the Interalpen kitchen staff – the perfect way to combine an exceptional
driving experience with being in nature and enjoying the best
our local cuisine has to offer. And what’s more, we will also happily
pick you up from the airport in Innsbruck or any train station in the
vicinity with an exclusive BMW limousine.
15 Years Cabriolet Days at the Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol
In the summer of 2017 we were able to celebrate 15 years of
Cabriolet Days! It was the anniversary of this popular event, which
has come to be a part of our annual programme. The core of this
event has not changed and remains the same as in its humble beginnings:
A passion for cars, cruises through stunning scenery and
get-togethers with likeminded people in the natural beauty of the
Seefeld Plateau.
The Cabriolet Days draws car lovers from near and far, and together
we have been enjoying drives in the shadows of our glaciers and
around our crystal clear lakes but we have also discovered hidden
gems on our tours through Austria, Germany and Italy. Relaxing evenings
in the Interalpen-mountain hut or gala dinners round off the
event and set the scene for unforgettable hours with all the wonderful
people that come to partake in the meetings.

15 years of
Cabriolet Days
But it really is the unique Coupés that make this event a truly special
one: Ferraris, Mercedes, Aston Martins, BMWs, Porsches, Rolls-Royces,
Audis, Maseratis, Jaguars and other exclusive brands. A highlight
of the 2011 meeting was the first electric car, a Tesla Roadster. We
are already looking forward to the 16 th edition of Cabrio Days
2018 – as usual with spectacular drives, paired with a relaxing stay at
the Interalpen- Hotel Tyrol.
Due to ever-increasing numbers we have had to set a limit of 50
participants and a maximum of 25 vehicles, but to make up for it, we
are organising a second meeting in late summer.

Sebastian Krieger, a 20-year young Tyrolean musician, will play a
unique concert on the Mother’s Day weekend. With his charisma,
authenticity and youthful charm, he stands out from the crowd.
Together with his partner, Reinhard Tamerl, he will impress the audience,
playing a repertoire of classic Austro Pop, from popular titles
by Reinhard Fendrich or Wolfgang Ambros to hits of the 70s, 80s and
90s as well as his own compositions.
Hugo Siegmeth, Bernd Hess and Karsten Gnettner are high-profile
musicians and have toured the globe in various formations wowing
audiences from Munich to the International Jazz Festival in Montreux
and in the United States as well as Australia. The trio knows to mesmerize
with their acoustics that never fail to resonate with heart
and soul. Their repertoire is made up of Swing, Bossa Nova, Dixie
and Electro-Swing – the ideal background music for our Whitsunday
Brunch.
‘Let’s Swing’ at the Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol! Experience one of the most
sought-after international jazz ensembles, the Knut Richter Swingtett.
The three musicians met on global stages and soon discovered
their common passion for Swing. Knut Richter has perfected playing
the classical Jazz guitar, which accompanies his characteristically
relaxed voice. Together with pianist Urban Beyer and contrabassist
Peter Schwebs he jams according to the motto: ‘Uncontrolled finger
snipping and good mood guaranteed!’
The Duo RatzFatz puts a smile on children’s faces. The two Tyrolean
musicians Hermann Riffeser and Frajo Köhle have been enlightening
young audiences for years. With their clownery and poetry
they always find the right puns and offer fun and entertainment of
the highest quality for old and young. With their new programme
‘Im Großen und Ganzen… kinderleicht!’ (‘Generally speaking … it
is child’s play!’) the audience is invited to rock, rap, sing and dance,
joke and laugh along with the duo. Don’t miss the opportunity to
participate and contribute to their programme, together with Oma
(granny) LaPaloma, the Zebra Pig and many more.

Martin Sieberer has been ranking amongst Austria’s top chefs since
the early 90s and been presented with the highest honours in all
culinary guides. He has been awarded three Gault Millau Toques
consecutively for the past 20 years for his Alpine inspired dishes at
his restaurant Paznaunerstube at the 5-star Superior-Hotel Trofana
Royal in Ischgl. Let him wow you with exclusive culinary delights at
the Interalpen For gourmets weekend 2018.
Every year, the Festival of Early Music in Innsbruck has a different
musical epoch at the core of their programme, ranging from the
Middle Ages to the 19 th century. Over several weeks, the programme
offers concerts at various locations, always aiming for original sound
achieved by instruments that have been built according to tradition
and are played in a traditional manner. This year’s music is from the
time of Jacobus Stainer who, in the 17 th century, was a master violin
builder hailing from Absam near Innsbruck.
Expect an evening with Caribbean music and atmosphere: La Banda
del Sol’s repertoire encompasses authentic Salsa as well as their own,
Jazz inspired arrangements and Cumbia, Bolero, Cha-Cha-Cha. The
quartet’s members hail from Tyrol and Havana. Look forward to Jazz
pianist Robert Sölkner, singer Vicente Izquierdo – who is hugely popular
in his native Cuba – saxophonist Raphael Huber, who has been
awarded the city of Innsbruck’s Young Jazz Award 2014, and Michael
Mittersteiner, an exceptional percussionist.
American guitarist, singer and songwriter Brian Chartrand, together
with his trio, is once again touring Europe in the autumn of 2018 and
he will also stop by at Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol. Brian Chartrand’s, Peter
Day’s and Jeff Vallone’s music is a refreshing mix of West Coast and
Folk Rock, which combined with thoughtful lyrics, forms the perfect
symbiosis. The songs are characterised by three harmonious voices
in the style of Crosby, Stills & Nash or The Eagles. The evening’s programme
promises to be full of soulful music and humour.

Professional service, hospitality of the highest standards and true
warmth and joviality are characteristics that all our employees at the
Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol share. In order to fulfil the highest standards
on a daily basis many factors have to be considered. One important
aspect are on-the-job training and educational options. The training
programme has been developed and devised by our Head of HR,
Annemarie Allinger-Csollich, and our educational coordinator, Edith
Ihrenberger. Mrs Ihrenberger is in charge of coordinating in-house
trainings, developing new courses and, as a certified trainer, executing
them. The educational portfolio comprises courses and workshops
such as Fit-For-Quality for our newbies, which offers them a
friendly welcome to our establishment, while at the same time introducing
them to our quality standards as a 5-star Superior-Hotel and
member of ‘The Leading Hotels of The World’. It is the workshop’s
aim to infect all new employees with our enthusiasm regarding the
highest quality standards. Furthermore, all our employees can participate
in systemic quality training, language courses and targeted
workshops and courses, which all follow the same credo:
