Best-selling author visits Maple School
Submitted by District 30
Best-selling author Joelle
Charbonneau’s 13th
book “Time Bomb” was
released on March 13. On
that same day, she visited
students from Northbrook’s
Maple School to
a master’s degree in opera
performance.
Charbonneau admitted
that she never even took
a professional stage performer
and private music
teacher until she was in
During one particularly
disappointing day, Charbonneau
said she was the
only performer rejected
after trying out for a show.
That evening while she
was driving home, she began
thinking about writing
a book on women performers.
She began writing and
said this experience actually
prepared her for future
