programs for the year to keep
viewers even more glued to
their television screens.

in Lagos, Harish Goyal, CEO,
Zee TV Africa and Indian
Ocean Islands, said: “We are

Nigeria and we keep improving

The ZEE general
entertainment channels which
have a huge following in
Nigeria, showcased exciting
series, shows and movies
planned for Bollywood lovers
across its major channels – the
popular Zee World, Zee
Bollymovies, Zee Bollynova
and Zee Cinema.
This year’s programming on
Zee World features the muchanticipated
return of Twist of Fate
- everybody’s favourite TV drama,
back with its second season,
continuing the cliffhanger that left
viewers guessing as to what
happened to the fun-loving
rockstar Abhi and the ever

Okonta popularly
known as Merit in
that pioneering
Nollywood movie, “Living in
Bondage”, went down memory
lane on Thursday, lamenting
that nobody pampers or spoils
her again after the death of her
husband, Chief Okonta.
Merit marked her birthday on
Thursday, and she had every
reason to get emotional, having
dawned on her that the man
she loved all her life, was
nowhere around her on this
special day. In a chat on
determined, strong-willed
Pragya. Will they finally get
the love they deserve or will
Abhi’s evil sister Aliya get
what she wants and remove
Pragya for good? 2018 also sees
the return of another popular
series - King of Hearts season 2,
as well as new series - Bride with
Benefits, Begusarai, Amma and
Iron Lady.
A number of blockbuster movies
will also premiere on Zee
BollyMovies later this year,
including the 2017 crime thriller,
MOM, starring the Bollywood
legend Sridevi, who sets out to
avenge her step-daughter after
the justice system failed to convict
her attackers. With the help of a
shady detective, she takes the law
into her own hands. Other movies
on the channel will feature A-list
actors like Shah Rukh Khan,
Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra,
Amitabh Bachchan among
others.

screen matriarch, said “
It's sad that I'm celebrating my
birthday without my husband
around me. If he had been
alive, I would have been
looking forward to the day
because presents and a party
would have been guaranteed.”
“I have finally realized that
he's no more,”she added.
Merit said, it has not been
easy for me,’ adding that “ I am
stronger now.” However, in his
absence, the mother of five tried
to make herself happy by
throwing a birthday bash at
Zanzibar Lounge, in Asaba,
which was attended by her
friends and family members.
She also released stunning
photos of herself to celebrate
her day.
Recall that the actress who
hails from Abia State lost her
husband, Chief Okonta to the
cold hands of death few days to
their 22nd wedding
anniversary, in 2016.
Chief Okonta died on the 7th
of March after a protracted
illness while their wedding
anniversary came up on the
15th of March. The actress, who
is currently starring in a new
TV series, “ Secrets and
Scandals” alongside Igwe Laz
Ekwueme in Lagos, said she
will forever missed her late
husband.

‘London Fever’ producer, Mina’s Dollz returns with Talk Show!

After an impressive
debut into Nollywood
in 2017 with the
movie, ‘London Fever’
starring some of the trailblazing
actors including
Toyin Abraham, Alexx
Akubo, Mike Godson among
others, Mina’s Dollz is back
again with yet another mindblowing
project. This time a
self-styled talk show called,
The Mina’s Dollz show. It’s
a Talk show on women
empowerment, The Mina’s
Dollz Show, acccording to
the producer, seeks to inform
and educate it viewers on a
range of issues concerning
women such as health,
relationship, lifestyle and
more. “It is a platform where
successful women and men
from all works of life are
invited as guest to speak
about their journey and
challenges they had to face
before achieving success in
their field of endeavour,” he
says. An hour programme,
the show is designed not just
to educate but also entertain
the audience. For every
edition, an artiste will
perform at the end of the
show to close it.

alongside, Hannah Marie
Sang, the show airs every
first Friday of the month on
Ben TV Sky Channel 238.
Meanwhile, following the
successful premiere of her
debut movie in London last
year, Mina’s Dollz has
concluded plans to premiere
‘London Fever’ in Nigeria as
well as showing the movie in
major cinemas across the
country sometime in the
second quarter of the year.

parades the likes of Juliet
