Antje Senarclens de Grancy ist Architekturhistorikerin<br />
am Institut für Architekturtheorie,<br />
Kunst- und Kulturwissenschaften<br />
der TU Graz, seit 2016 Assistenzprofessorin.<br />
Derzeit forscht sie zu einer Beziehungsgeschichte<br />
zwischen Lager und moderner<br />
Architektur am Beispiel der Flüchtlingslager<br />
der Habsburgermonarchie im Ersten<br />
Weltkrieg. 2019 wird sie gemeinsam mit<br />
Heidrun Zettelbauer das Themenheft „Camps<br />
as Cultural Spaces“ der Zeitschrift zeitgeschichte<br />
herausgeben.<br />
Antje Senarclens de Grancy is an architectural<br />
historian at the Institute of Architectural<br />
Theory, Art History and Cultural<br />
Studies at Graz University of Technology,<br />
since 2016 she holds the position of Associate<br />
Professor. Currently she is researching<br />
a relational history between camps and modern<br />
architecture at the example of refugee<br />
camps in the Habsburg monarchy during<br />
the First World War. In 2019 she will be coediting<br />
the special issue “Camps as Cultural<br />
Spaces” of the magazine zeitgeschichte<br />
together with Heidrun Zettlelbauer.<br />
Katharina Sommer ist Architektin und freie<br />
Journalistin mit den Schwerpunkten Architektur,<br />
Stadtplanung und Design. Sie ist<br />
Mitherausgeberin der Architekturzeitschrift<br />
manege für architektur und war als Redakteurin<br />
für die Zürcher Zeitschrift archithese,<br />
für das Magazin Detail in München und den<br />
Birkhäuser Verlag in Basel tätig. Sie studierte<br />
Architektur an der Technischen Universität<br />
München und der Rhode Island School<br />
of Design sowie Kulturpublizistik an der<br />
Zürcher Hochschule der Künste.<br />
Katharina Sommer is a journalist working<br />
in the field of architecture, interior design,<br />
and urbanism. She is the co-editor<br />
of the architecture magazine manege für<br />
architektur. Her professional experience<br />
includes editorial positions at archithese<br />
(Zurich), Birkhäuser (Basel) or Detail (Munich).<br />
She studied architecture at the Technical<br />
University Munich and the Rhode Island<br />
School of Design as well as cultural publishing<br />
at the Zurich University of the Arts.<br />
Anna-Sophie Springer ist freie Ausstellungsmacherin,<br />
Autorin und betreibt das<br />
künstlerische Verlagsprojekt K. in Berlin. In<br />

Library (2016). Derzeit ist sie Gastdozentin<br />
am Institut Kunst, Basel.<br />
Anna-Sophie Springer is an independent<br />
exhibition maker, writer and directs the<br />
publishing project K. Verlag in Berlin. Her<br />
work focuses on archives and the book-asexhibition.<br />
She is co-editor and co-founder<br />
of the intercalations: paginated exhibition<br />
series and co-editor of Fantasies of the<br />
Library (2016). Currently she is a visiting<br />
lecturer at Institut Kunst, Basel.<br />
Barbara Steiner ist Leiterin des Kunsthauses<br />
Graz. Bis September 2017 hatte sie<br />
eine Vertretungsprofessur für Kulturen des<br />
Kuratorischen an der HGB Leipzig inne. Sie<br />
publizierte eine Reihe von themenbezogenen<br />
Büchern über Raumkonzeptionen, das<br />
Verhältnis von öffentlich und privat sowie<br />
über Kunst und Ökonomie. In ihrer Arbeit<br />
widmet sie sich den Bedingungen kultureller<br />
Produktion, unter Berücksichtigung von<br />
widerstreitenden Interessen und damit verbundenen<br />
Prozessen des Aushandelns.<br />
Barbara Steiner is the director of Kunsthaus<br />
Graz. Until September 2017, she was visiting<br />
professor for Cultures of the Curatorial<br />
at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig. Steiner<br />
published a series of theme-related books<br />
on conceptions of space, the relationship<br />
between private and public, and on art and<br />
the economy. In her work, she looks into<br />
conditions of cultural production, drawing<br />
attention to conflicting concerns and interconnected<br />
processes of negotiation.<br />
Kate Strain lebt in Graz und Dublin. Sie<br />
forscht zum Thema des Überlappens zwischen<br />
Performance und Performativität in<br />
der Praxis der bildenden Künste. Sie ist die<br />
künstlerische Leiterin des Grazer Kunstvereins,<br />
Österreich und Mitbegründerin des<br />
ersten Departments für Ultimologie am<br />
Trinity College Dublin in Zusammenarbeit<br />

and Communications, das die Ultimologie<br />

Kate Strain is based in Graz and Dublin. Her<br />
research focuses on the overlap between<br />
performance and performativity in visual<br />
arts practice. She is the artistic director of<br />
Grazer Kunstverein, Austria and co-founder<br />
of the first Department of Ultimology<br />
at Trinity College Dublin, working with the<br />
Connect Centre for Future Networks and<br />
Communications to explore Ultimology as<br />
the study of that which is in danger of disappearing<br />
in any given discipline.<br />
Žiga Testen ist ein slowenischer Grafikdesigner.<br />
Der Fokus seiner Arbeit liegt im<br />
Bereich der zeitgenössischen Kunst- und<br />
Kulturproduktion, bei der er eine enge Zusammenarbeit<br />
mit Künstlern, Kuratoren und<br />
kulturellen Organisationen bevorzugt. Anstatt<br />
eines ästhetischen Stils werden Kontext<br />
und projektspezifische Lösungen für individuelle<br />
Ansätze gesucht. Derzeit lebt und<br />
arbeitet er in Melbourne, Australien.<br />
Žiga Testen is a Slovenian graphic designer.<br />
Typically, the focus of his practice is<br />
contemporary art and culture and he prioritizes<br />
work in close collaboration with artists,<br />
curators, and cultural organizations.<br />
Rather than an aesthetic or style, a context<br />
and project-specific solution is sought out<br />
for each individual commission. He is currently<br />
living and working in Melbourne.<br />
Milica Tomić ist Künstlerin und leitet das<br />
Institut für zeitgenössische Kunst (IZK)<br />
der TU Graz. Sie ist Gründungsmitglied<br />
der „Grupa Spomenik“ (2002), und sie hat<br />
das interdisziplinäre Projekt „Four Faces of<br />
Omarska“ (2010) konzipiert. Ihre Ausstellungen<br />
waren unter anderem zu sehen im<br />

Whitney Museum of American Art, New<br />

Milica Tomić is an artist and head of the<br />

Etienne Turpin is a philosopher and research<br />
scientist at the Massachusetts Institute<br />
of Technology and the director of<br />
anexact office, a design research office<br />
based in Jakarta and Berlin. Together with<br />
Anna-Sophie Springer he is an investigator<br />
of the research initiative Reassembling<br />
the Natural, an inquiry into biodiversity loss<br />
and land use transformation. He is also the<br />
co-editor of Fantasies of the Library (2016)<br />
and Art in the Anthropocene (2015).<br />
What, How & for Whom/WHW ist ein KuratorInnen-Kollektiv,<br />
das 1999 in Zagreb und<br />
Berlin gegründet wurde. Die Mitglieder sind<br />
Ivet Ćurlin, Ana Devi ć, Nataša Ili ć, Sabina<br />
Sabolovi ć und Designer und Publizist Dejan<br />
Krši ć. WHW organisiert eine Reihe von Produktionen,<br />
Ausstellungen und Publikationsprojekten<br />
und leitet die Gallery Nova in<br />
Zagreb. WHW-Projekte werden konzipiert<br />
als Plattform für progressive Modi der Kulturproduktion<br />
und Reflexion der sozialen<br />

What, How & for Whom/WHW is a curatorial<br />

Kršić. WHW organizes a range of production,<br />
exhibition and publishing projects and<br />
directs Gallery Nova in Zagreb. WHW projects<br />
have been conceived as platforms for progressive<br />
modes of cultural production and<br />
