Non-preferred:<br />
› Overly general: a student generates ideas, selects<br />
one and writes a page about the general, potential<br />
advantages and disadvantages of the idea.<br />
› Biased: a student describes all the advantages of<br />
their selected design concept.<br />
Preferred:<br />
› Specific: a student generates ideas, selects three,<br />
conducts a simple, initial test of feasibility, refines<br />
ideas based on the results, and writes a page<br />
about the ideas, test set-up and results, and<br />
limitations such as the comparability with a real<br />
use situation.<br />
› Objective: a student describes the advantages and<br />
disadvantages of their selected design concept in<br />
comparison with similar concepts, according to<br />
specified criteria.<br />
