and a park right in the front yard! We
are out there more than in our own
backyard, and the families that line
this street have become like families to
us,” Eva says. “It’s a thriving street in
a thriving neighborhood. So, safe and
everyone on this street is incredibly
kind.”
Their kids love riding bikes, reading,
singing, being with friends and
making art. “I try to include them in
most aspects of our daily life,” Eva says.
“They help with everything.” While
Noah and Zoe are too young to be in
special sports or activities, they love
the normal kid stuff such as swimming
and riding bicycles. “My daughter is in
ballet at the Portsmouth School of Ballet,
and my son loves pretty much all
subjects at school,” says Eva.
Eva hosts an annual Christmas
cookie decorating party in the neighborhood.
The past two years, Santa has
made an appearance to taste the cookies
and say hello to the kids.
The Marinos have formed lasting
bonds with their neighbors, making
their home not just a space for themselves
and their kids but making it an
extension of their family.
“We love our neighbors so much,”
Eva says. Two of her best friends live
on her block. “Our kids have grown
