trade and it is considered the birthplace of<br />
the Renaissance. The city attracts millions of<br />
visitors each year and it 1982 the Historical<br />
Centre of Florence was declared a World<br />
Heritage Site by UNESCO. Here is just a small<br />
sampling of things you can do on your next<br />
Florence, Italy vacation. Climb the Duomo and<br />
Bell Tower Scale the 476 stairs of one of the<br />
world's architectural wonders and gape at the<br />
frescos by Giorgio Vasari that line the interior<br />
of the dome. From the top, you can see the<br />
entire city, but we prefer to climb the adjacent<br />
Bell Tower, where you can examine the Duomo<br />
from its best angle.<br />
