ASCA Business Office
e Are you receiving your monthly AussEnews from ASCA? There have
been some great articles and glimpses back into ASCA history! If you are
not receiving your email, please contact the ASCA office and update your
email address.
e A reminder to all Affiliate clubs, please remember the sanction
deadline for your events. An affiliate’s show coordinator can now sanction
events online. Please make sure the office has the correct listings for your
show coordinators. Only the show coordinators listed with the office can
access online sanctioning requests. Any questions please contact the office.
Also remember to get your results to the office in a timely manner. Please
have all judges listed when paperwork is sent in so we can have your
premium up on the official event calendar as soon as possible. Remember
to utilize our website your membership must be current. You also need to
create a new online account. If you have any questions, please contact the
office.
If an Affiliate club changes officers, affiliate representatives, or show
coordinators once its renewal has been sent in, please contact the office
with the new information.
Aussie Times
Old issues of the Aussie Times are available from the office. Please contact
the office for available issues and cost of mailing.
Paw Print Genetics
Contact ASCA’s partner Paw Print Genetics for your genetic testing and
a discount.
Purina Pro Club Partnership Program
Thank you to all the ASCA Purina Pro Club members who submitted
weight circles and signed up for the Parent Club Partnership Program.
Purina had 423 members sign up and 99 submitted weight circles from
Jan - Dec 2016. We earned 2,448.61 last year
For those of you who feed Purina and are members of the Pro Club,
don’t forget to enroll in the Purina Parent Club Partnership Program. Purina
will donate 10 percent of the value of the Weight Circle points you submit.
Half will go to ASCA and half to the Canine Health Foundation. Your earned
points are not touched. (This will in no way impact your personal rewards
as these are matching funds.) The donation is used to conduct health and
wellness studies, education campaigns and rescue efforts for your chosen

La Quinta Inns and Suites Discount for ASCA Members
ASCA has a national discount with all La Quinta Inns & Suites in the
United States, Mexico and Canada.
In additional to discounted room rates at over 850 hotels, we will
receive aggressive group rate and reservation assistance, free breakfast
and free high-speed internet. Other benefits include membership points,
centralized reporting, one point of contact for all needs, and a direct
billing account, if the need arises.
Individual reservations can be made by:
• Calling 1-800-SLEEPLQ or the hotel directly and asking for the
ASCA rate
• Walking into a hotel and asking for the ASCA rate
• Booking on their website (www.lq.com) using the discount
code AUST12
Note that reservations made on other sites (Expedia, Travelocity,
etc.) will not be tracked, counted into our annual production, nor will
guests receive points on those stays.

Another Program for ASCA and its Members –
AmazonSmile
What is AmazonSmile? AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon
that lets customers enjoy the same wide selection of products, low
prices, and convenient shopping features as on Amazon.com. The
difference is that when customers shop on AmazonSmile (smile.amazon.
com), the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the price of
eligible purchases to the charitable organizations selected by customers.
How does AmazonSmile work? When first visiting AmazonSmile, customers
are prompted to select a charitable organization from almost one million
eligible organizations. In order to browse or shop at AmazonSmile,
customers must first select a charitable organization. For eligible
purchases at AmazonSmile, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5%
of the purchase price to the customer’s selected charitable organization.
Is there any cost to charitable organizations or to customers? No. There
is no cost to charitable organizations or to AmazonSmile customers.
The shopping experience is identical to Amazon.com with the added
benefit that the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate to the charitable
organizations selected by customers.

Grants for rescue groups from the ASCA Foundation are available.

ASCA National Specialties
e The 2018 National Specialty will be hosted by the 2018 Consortium:
Colorado ASA, Hill Country ASC, and ASC of Texas on September 21 –
September 29, 2018, at Island Grove Regional Park, Greeley, CO. There
is a Facebook page and a Facebook group. No website yet.
e The 2019 National Specialty will be hosted by Central Valley
Australian Shepherd Club in Bakersfield, California. Please contact
Denise Creelman for information.
Please contact the executive.secretary@asca.org for the materials your
Club needs if they are interested in hosting the National Specialty or as
part of a consortium.
