Greeting from British Columbia, Canada!
Wow ! How much fun can you have? 2017 – what a great year!
We are a small club of approximately 30 members and currently
have one trial weekend a year where we offer Agility, Obedience
and Rally Obedience. (2018 will be adding Conformation to our
lineup.) On we grow! It is so wonderful to see more people actually
finding the joy in participating with their dogs in various events
and trying new dog sports.
Our Educational Event Topic in 2017 was ASCA Tracking!
18 people attended with their Australian Shepherds or “wanna be”
Aussies! LOL.
Bring on 2018 and all the wonderful adventures it holds!
Cheers!
Greetings from the Australian Shepherd Versatility Association
(ASVA) in Germany. We had a very nice ASCA year in 2017 with
some nice events and are looking forward to the same fun in 2018!
In 2017 we were able to host an agility weekend (2 trials) in March
with wonderful Michael Black. Our ASVA Mega Event in May
included an agility trial, as well as one rally and obedience trial each
and 3 conformation shows with junior showmanship, with our great
judges Peggy Meersman (we were honored to invite her to her very
first agility judging assignment), Leah Swatko, Denise Creelman
and Leslie Creelman Sosa. A rally (two trials) and obedience
(one trial) weekend was hosted with fantastic Guenter Geisel in
September. And for the first time our club hosted additionally a
3 conformation shows with junior showmanship weekend in the
south of Germany with amazing Ron Moden, Heather Braddock
and Leah Swatko and also with a nice raffle and generous donors
in favor of ASHGI.
Following our general meeting in November we organized a
seminar to judicial subjects for breeders and stud owners with a
reputable attorney specialized around breeding issues.
Also 2018 did already begin pretty sporty with our first
agility weekend (2 trials) with adorable Sherry Butler in February.
And there are already some other dates fixed as our next ASVA
Mega Event (3 conformation shows with junior showmanship
and one rally and obedience trial each) in April, a rally and
obedience weekend in September and again a conformation/junior
showmanship weekend in December.
We want to thank you all those amazing judges that followed
our invitations and made our events a big success, the members
that served and do serve the club board, as well as all the club
members, friendly clubs and all other helping hands, sponsors and
vendors that made our events run smooth and successful. This is
so much appreciated as this is not to shoulder by only a couple of
board members – thanks folks!!!
Please safe our club dates and/or sign up for our newsletter on
