It’s graduation time,
and high school students are
planning what comes next.
What advice would you
give to today’s graduates?
NICK STAFFIERI
of Clayton would
encourage new
graduates to consider
the trades. “There’s
too much pressure
to go to college,” he
said. “My college
friends are up to their
eyeballs in debt. My
friends who work in
the trades are rolling
in dough.”
“I’d tell graduates to
go into the service,”
said JIM CONFREDO
of Westampton.
“Learn about the
world and get some
street-smarts. Kids
today have no clue.”
Haddonfield’s
FLORENCE
WARNER says
“Don’t take things
personally. Let
criticism bounce off
you. You know your
skills and talents,
and what you’re
worth.”
PRUDY LA MANTIA
of Bellmawr would
advise graduates to
not rush. “Take things
as they come. Enjoy
them for what they
are. Give yourself
time to appreciate life
as it is.”
Haddonfield’s DAVE
PODGOR would
urge graduates to
not take life too
seriously. “If you do
what you enjoy and
enjoy what you do,
good things will
come to you.”
“Know your passion,”
said KEVIN ROCHE
of Haddonfield. “Life
is too short to live
with regret.”
