Scan the QR: . Bier is back: Rotary Biergarten Raise a pint to the popular Rotary Club of Haddonfield Biergarten fundraiser, Sat Jun 9 from 4 to 8pm. The event will take place, rain or shine, at beautiful Haddon Lake Park, located at 13th Ave and S. Park Ave in Haddon Heights. The last Biergarten was held in 2016. Admission is $50 for adults 21 and over and includes an all-you-can-eat-and-drink authentic Bavarian-style buffet provided by Philadelphia’s Brauhaus Schmitz restaurant, and German beer on tap. A live band will perform throughout the afternoon and evening. This family-friendly event includes games and activities for children. Tickets for ages 12-20 are $25 and include all the food options plus soft drinks. Children under 12 are free. In addition to all the traditional foods, including bratwurst and roast pork sandwiches with all the fixin’s, there will be a kids menu with hamburgers and hot dogs, and several gluten-free food and drink options. Tickets and sponsorships can be purchased at haddonfieldrotary.org. Proceeds from the Rotary Biergarten will support charitable projects such as packing meals for Feed My Starving Children, vocational programs and scholarships to give a hand up to underserved youth in our region, sewing machines for women in Rwanda to start microbusinesses, learning programs for children in Camden; and many others. ‘1,000 Plays’ With a nod to their friends at the Brick Playhouse on South Street, Haddonfield Plays & Players is proud to present Night of 1,000 Plays – twice, Fri Jun 8 and Sat 9 at 8pm. This is an opportunity for local writers to team with actors and directors to showcase original work. The shows will feature comedic, avant garde, poetic, dramatic, melodic and truly unforgettable skits and enjoyable performances. Tickets for the shows, part of the theater’s special programming, are $12. You can buy tickets online until 6pm the day of the show, or purchase at the door 30 minutes before showtime.
