Jobs Club help comes to you
Harleston Information Plus (HIP) are pleased to announce they have
been awarded funding from the LIFT Jobs programme, funded by the
European Social Fund, to run their successful Jobs Club for a further
two years and extend it to surrounding villages in Norfolk and North
Suffolk, offering ‘pop up’ Jobs Club sessions and ongoing support to
jobseekers who can’t make it into Harleston.
The weekly Jobs Club has been running at the Information Centre in
Harleston since 2009 and has helped over 1000 jobseekers in their
search for work. The Club offers help with job searching, CVs,
covering letters, application forms, interview tips and advice, business
start-up information and volunteering, all of which can now be
delivered in your village.
They will also be offering work skills related training such as First Aid,
Food Hygiene, Retail, Customer Service and basic IT, which will be
held at the Information Centre with free transport provided into
Harleston. The Jobs Club team are keen to reach as many
jobseekers as possible. If you would like them to visit your club or
group then please contact Lucy Marjoram on 01379 851920 or email
