Best Plow Job<br />
Craig Swanson, formerly of Semans, is a member of the<br />
Mighty Peace Vintage Tractor Club in the Grand Prairie<br />
and surrounding area.<br />
On <strong>June</strong> 10,20<strong>18</strong> the MPVT Club hosted their annual Tractor Plow Day. There<br />
were 31 tractors plowing. Craig, along with his Oliver 99 and 3 Bottom Plow<br />
won “Best Plow Job” award.<br />
Craig’s Oliver 99 tractor was his Great Uncle Edwin Swanson’s which was bought<br />
new in 1949. The John Deere plow was originally owned by his Grandfather Raymond<br />
Swanson and his Great Uncle Edwin Swanson and had been purchased in<br />
Govan.<br />
“I was pretty proud of the job the plow did! It worked awesome, lots of plows<br />
wouldn’t work at all. A few adjustments and it worked almost perfect,good enough<br />
to win ‘best job’, anyway.” Craig commented after his win. (The photo is a vintage<br />
one from days gone by ...showing Craig’s daughter Dylan on the tractor with him.<br />
