Elder Mireku to celebrate 40th
anni. with three concerts
THREE GOSPEL concerts
are being put together
to celebrate
gospel legend Elder
Emmanuel Kwasi
Mireku for his 40th anniversary
in music ministry.
At the launch of the anniversary
held on June 20, 2018, the manager of
the Elder Mireku, Peter Tekper announced
that there shall be concerts in
three regions as part of the activities
for the celebration.
He said the first concert will take
place on 3rd August, 2018 at the Jackson
Park in Koforidua where Elder
Mireku lives.
From there, there shall be another
one in Kumasi on 14th September,
2018.
He will wrap it up at the Black Star
Square in Accra on November 9, 2018.
The launch, which was held at the
MJ Grand Hotel at East Legon in
Accra, had the media, musicians, family
of Elder Mireku and the clergy in
attendance.
Some musicians present were Rev.
Mensah Bonsu, Ohemaa Mercy, Uncle
Ato, Mary Ghansah and Georgia Agyei
among others.
Elder Mireku, who was thankful to
God for sustaining his music ministry
for 40 years, also said his brand was
still solid and that he would still project
the work of God through music.
He has more than 40 volumes (albums)
of songs and has contributed
immensely to the gospel music industry.
His songs are popular in almost
every church in Ghana – most of
which have been sampled by other

The Pentecost Elder has influenced
the style of music of musicians like
Kwaku Gyasi, Frank Asomadu and
many others.
He has songs such as ‘Aduru Wo
So’, ‘Adom Aye Wonsa Ma’,
‘Maranatha’ and ‘Wose Ayeyi’.

confirm engagement
AMERICAN COMEDIAN Peter
Michael Davidson has confirmed
he is engaged to Ariana Grande-
Butera, who is also an American
actress, saying "I feel like I won a
contest."
The couple started dating in
May and there was speculation earlier
this month they were planning
to get married.
Speaking on ‘The Tonight
Show’ with Jimmy Fallon, Pete -
best known for his role on United
States comedy show SNL - confirmed
they were engaged, adding,
"It's lit."
He said one fan even came up
to him and said, "You gave me
hope."
It's the first time either of the
pair has spoken publicly about their
engagement - although Ariana appeared
to confirm the news earlier

On ‘The Tonight Show’, Jimmy
Fallon jokingly told Pete that he
"didn't have to get engaged to Ariana
Grande to come on our show."
Pete, who performs on sketch

"But I did though. I feel like I won
a contest. So sick."
When asked how he was handling
it all, the comedian said it was
"lit" and joked that men were walking
past him and tipping their hat
as a sign of respect.
"Some dude came up to me and
was like, 'Yo man, you gave me
hope'. I didn't know I was that
ugly."
On Saturday, Pete shared a
photo on Instagram which appeared
to show Ariana wearing an
engagement ring.
It included the caption, "You
know what you'd dream it be like?
It's better than that.”
The couple have both recently
came out of other relationships.
Ariana was dating rapper Mac
Miller, while Pete was in a relationship
with Cazzie David, whose dad
is comedian Larry David.
The singer recently spoke about
her recently-ended relationship
with Mac Miller, calling it "toxic".
"I am not a babysitter or a
mother and no woman should feel
that they need to be," she said.
Ariana also got a tattoo of a bee
a year on from the terror attack at
the Manchester Arena where 22
people died at her concert last year.
The singer says she has PTSD
from the attack, and doesn't think
she'll ever be able to talk about the

GHANAIAN ACTOR, Psalm Adjeteyfio,
popularly known as T T,
has pleaded with rumour mongers
to spare him.
T T, who became famous following
his appearance in the Taxi
Driver TV series, said he is always
shocked to hear about some people
spreading rumours of his death on
social media.
According to him, it is very sad
because it has happened multiple
times.
“I was shocked when people said
I had passed away. I do not know
who is spreading
that falsehood.
I don’t
know if the
person hates
me. I have
been off
screens due
to illness. I
couldn’t
breathe and
talk well,” he
told Moses
Aluebase (DJ
Alligator) on
Storm FM’s
Mid-Morning
show in
Sunyani.
After he
was diagnosed with an enlarged
heart, which is now leading to
swollen feet, the veteran actor disclosed
that though, people are trying
to help, it is not enough to cater
for his medical bills.
T T, who has been off the
screens for some time, said he tried
doing some little work that won’t
take much of his time before his ailment
became serious.
He shot down reports that his
wife left him following his sickness.
“My wife left me before I fell
sick, my children have always been
on my side,” T T stated.
