Let us see what His thought was in His last<br />

prayer: “That <strong>the</strong>y all may be one; as Thou, Fa<strong>the</strong>r,<br />

art in Me, and I in Thee, that <strong>the</strong>y also may be one<br />

in us.” “And <strong>the</strong> glory which Thou gavest Me, I<br />

have given <strong>the</strong>m; that <strong>the</strong>y may be one, even as we<br />

are one; I in <strong>the</strong>m, and Thou in Me, that <strong>the</strong>y may<br />

be made perfect in one; and that <strong>the</strong> world may<br />

know that Thou hast sent Me, and hast loved <strong>the</strong>m<br />

as Thou hast loved Me. Fa<strong>the</strong>r, I will that <strong>the</strong>y also,<br />

whom Thou hast given Me, be with Me where I<br />

am; that <strong>the</strong>y may behold My glory, which Thou<br />

hast given Me; for Thou lovedest Me before <strong>the</strong><br />

foundation of <strong>the</strong> world. O righteous Fa<strong>the</strong>r, <strong>the</strong><br />

world hath not known Thee; but I have known<br />

Thee, and <strong>the</strong>se have known that Thou hast sent<br />

Me. And I have declared Thy name unto <strong>the</strong>m, and<br />

will declare it.” And <strong>the</strong> last words of His prayer<br />

were: “That <strong>the</strong> love wherewith Thou hast loved<br />

Me may be in <strong>the</strong>m, and I in <strong>the</strong>m.” (John 17:21-<br />

26) And as He was ascending, His parting words to<br />

His disciples were, “Lo, I am with you alway, even<br />

unto <strong>the</strong> end of <strong>the</strong> world.” (Matt. 28:20) By being<br />

in us, He is with us alway, and that this might be<br />

possible, that He might be in us, He came and took<br />
