In the Kitchen with...
Spring and summer in the UK are perfect seasons
for fresh vegetables and fruits. The rest of the
year, our supplier does have to go further afield.
We try still to use British apples and potatoes for
example, but it gets more difficult.
Q: What three reasons would you give event
organisers to choose your hotel for their next
event?
Our people - right from the start with our events
team through to the waiters on the day, you will
be well taken care of.
Our food - we love what we do and we love to
know that you and your guests will love it too.
Our location - right in the heart of the City near
Barbican and Farringdon tube stations, and yet
on such a quiet peaceful square, you wouldn’t
know that you were moments away from
St Paul’s, Bank and Kings Cross which makes
us so easy to get to.
Q: Are there any interesting facts about the
history of Malmaison London which would
interest our readers?
Malmaison like to occupy buildings with a former
life. The Malmaison London was previously
the Charterhouse Chambers. We were the
nurses’ home for those who worked at St. Bart’s
Hospital. We still have reunions where the
nurses will come back and visit us – the rent has
changed a little but the buzz from Smithfield
Meat Market is the same.
