summer, we would recommend opting for
a BBQ or an afternoon tea style buffet. We
have a great Ploughman’s Afternoon Tea which
we love to incorporate into a buffet lunch
including homemade chorizo sausage rolls,
deli style sandwiches, pork pie with piccalilli -
it is a summer picnic on a plate!
In winter, we love to serve our guests delicious,
warming dishes such as shepherd’s pie
and apple crumble which can be enjoyed
in front of our fireplace in the Oak Room.”
Originally a family manor house built by Percy
Fawcett in 1906, Whirlowbrook Hall is a stunning
stone built property which became the home of
Sir Walter Benton-Jones, a leading industrialist
in the city, in 1920. It wasn’t until 1951 that the
grounds became open to the public and today,
Whirlowbrook Hall offers event organisers a
beautiful, tranquil backdrop of landscaped
gardens which are also perfect for company
away-days. The events team at the stunning venue
are also happy to offer complete exclusivity of the
building for groups of over 40 delegates.
