Student Outcomes: Chiropractic National Board Exams<br />

Students Performance on National Board Examinations<br />

Performance rates on National Licensure Examinations serve as an indicator <strong>of</strong> a quality<br />

pr<strong>of</strong>essional education program to prospective students.<br />

PART I <strong>of</strong> the National Board Exam consists <strong>of</strong> multiple-choice questions relating to each <strong>of</strong> the<br />

six basic science areas which include general anatomy spinal anatomy, physiology, chemistry,<br />

pathology, and microbiology and public health. NYCC students must have completed their<br />

fourth trimester at the time <strong>of</strong> the examination.<br />

PART II <strong>of</strong> the National Board Exam consists <strong>of</strong> multiple-choice questions relating to six<br />

clinical science areas which include general diagnosis, neuromusculoskeletal diagnosis,<br />

diagnostic imaging, principles <strong>of</strong> chiropractic, chiropractic practice, and associated clinical<br />

sciences. NYCC students must have completed their sixth trimester at the time <strong>of</strong> the<br />

examination.<br />
