PART III is a written competency examination designed to assess clinical areas that are<br />

nationally accepted in light <strong>of</strong> common practice requirements. NYCC students are eligible to sit<br />

for this exam within nine months <strong>of</strong> graduation.<br />

PART IV is a practical examination that is designed to assess clinical areas that are accepted as<br />

common practice requirements. NYCC students are eligible to sit for this exam after passing<br />

NBCE Parts I and II and are within six months <strong>of</strong> graduation. Part IV is recognized in 48 states<br />

as the practical component for state licensure.<br />

Physiotherapy is an elective examination and eligible students must have completed 120 hours<br />

<strong>of</strong> course work in Physiotherapy before taking the exam.<br />
