“Our venue is very special, because
it’s on a site that contains an offic ial
National Monument – a Stone Age
camp – and the amazing sandstone rock
formations, that can be accessed by a
system of eleven bridges.
There is also a station for the Spa
Valley Railway in our garden, so the
bridal party – or the whole wedding
– can arrive by steam train. You
can hire one carriage, or the whole
train, boarding at Tunbridge Wells,
Groombridge or Eridge. You can even
start at London Bridge, change at
Eridge and arrive at High Rocks.
When we came here there was just
a tiny restaurant. We moved the Great
Hall Barn here from Herefordshire. We
also have the Halt and the President’s
Suite, depending on the guest numbers.
We are a venue at the affordable end
of the market, where we do everything
for the bride and groom, you can get
married here and all our food is homecooked
by our dedicated team. We have
chefs who have been here for 30 years.
We don’t charge for the venue, you
choose a package which is multiplied by
the number of guests, so it’s very simple.
The Rocks has been used many times
as a film and video location – Merlin
was filmed here and Enya made a video
here - and offers the opportunity for
the most amazing dramatic wedding
photographs, including flood-lit nighttime
photos which are something very
special to have long after the wedding
day is over.”

“We have been running weddings on
our organic beef family farm in the
heart of Sussex for over nine years now
and since we built our beautiful oakframed
barn in 2014 we have been fully
booked year after year.
As well as the huge barn they have
full access to the farm, our three
gorgeous Mongolian yurts and two
stylish apartments accommodating up
to 42 guests on site. We also have a new
marquee, sound systems, an after-hours
music room, camping fields, fire pits
and play area, all with incredible views
over stunning rolling countryside.
Our couples book because they
want something a bit different to the
traditional hotel weddings.
Most of our couples want a festival
style or boho wedding and that’s exactly
what we do best.
It’s a DIY type venue where our
couples have the chance and freedom
to inject their own style and ideas and
really let their imagination run wild.
One of our beautiful brides wanted
to be delivered to her ceremony on
the front of our tractor in the bucket!
Which we of course gladly did.
It is lovely to see how amazing, cool
and different their set ups can be. Our
couples dream up their perfect day and
we help them create it.”
