ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Brittany Brakenhoff, MS, is a PhD candidate at Ohio State University in the Couple
and Family Therapy Program. She is also a licensed marriage and family therapist and is
interested in developing family-based interventions for people experiencing homelessness
and substance use issues.
Natasha Slesnick, PhD, is a professor of couple and family therapy at Ohio State
University. Her research focuses on developing interventions for youth who are homeless
and their families. She has opened drop-in centres for youth experiencing homelessness in
Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Columbus, Ohio.
