In 2012 the inaugural ‘Luke Bailey Bravery Award’ was presented to the most inspiring<br />
participant at the school athletics. The first winner of this trophy was a grade three student,<br />
Louis Gauci. The perpetual trophy is dedicated to the memory of a former student, Luke Bailey,<br />
who passed away in 2010 at the age of ten. Luke was a very special student who’s long,<br />
courageous battle with illness inspired all who knew him.<br />
For many years senior students have participated in interschool sport including athletics,<br />
swimming, cross country, netball and football. The netball and football seasons are concluded<br />
by Lightning Premierships between teams from all schools in the interschool competition. <strong>St</strong><br />
Anthony’s School has won the premiership on several occasions.<br />
